What care is suitable after a dermatological peel or laser treatment?
Accompanying skin care after dermatological peels or laser treatments plays a key role. When used correctly, it helps accelerate the skin's regeneration processes and sustainably improve results. It's also important to suppress infections and scarring as much as possible and shorten follow-up treatments. LE BAUME is an oil-in-water emulsion and contains the right balance of water and oil. When used regularly, the wound surface is less tight. It also contains LE BAUME in addition to the unique Alpha 3-Complex® D-Panthenol, aloe vera and vitamin E to stimulate wound healing and skin regeneration.
Learn moreUnderstanding Sclerotherapy.
Introduction Spider veins can be a nuisance, but with the right treatment, you can bid them farewell. Dr Enderlin is here to guide you through sclerotherapy, a non-invasive procedure offered at DECAMED that effectively deals with these unwanted veins. What is sclerotherapy (sclerosing treatment)? Sclerotherapy involves the obliteration of veins, ranging from tiny spider veins to larger ones. Dr Enderlin uses the approved sclerosing agent aethoxysklerol* to induce a controlled inflammation in the veins. This process leads to the veins sticking together and eventually fading or becoming invisible. Patients typically undergo 2 to 4 treatments, each at least a month apart, for significant improvement. Wearing a compression stocking after treatment aids the adhesion process. * approved in Switzerland The treatment process Sclerotherapy is a virtually pain-free outpatient procedure carried out in the DECAMED Skin and Laser Center's operating theater. The areas to be treated are disinfected and the sclerotherapy product is injected using a fine needle in a highly targeted manner. The procedure is short and lasts approximately 30 minutes to one hour. Sclerotherapy vs. other methods Sclerotherapy stands out as a highly effective, cost-efficient, and minimally invasive option compared to laser treatments. It's the preferred method for treating spider veins at DECAMED . Risks and complications Sclerotherapy is a low-risk procedure, but like any medical intervention, side effects may occur in very rare cases. Sensitive skin types and those exposed to the sun too early may develop brown streaks on the skin. These correspond to pigment deposits and fade over time. Consistent wearing of compression stockings and avoiding the sun in the first 6 weeks can help prevent this side effect. Post-treatment care After sclerotherapy, patients may experience temporary discoloration, itching, and minor bleeding. Compression stockings are recommended for the first 24 hours and continued throughout the day for a week. Vigorous sports and hot baths (sauna…) should be avoided for the next 2-3 weeks. Patients should also refrain from sunbathing for 6-8 weeks to prevent hyperpigmentation. Results and expectations Patients often see significant improvements after just one treatment, although multiple sessions may be necessary for optimal results. Dr Enderlin recommends sclerotherapy for its excellent clinical and aesthetic outcomes, coupled with low risks and side effects. Insurance coverage It's essential to note that health insurance doesn't cover the costs of sclerotherapy, as it's considered an aesthetic treatment. Choosing sclerotherapy Given its ideal balance of clinical effectiveness and aesthetic results, along with minimal risks, sclerotherapy is the treatment against spider veins recommended by Dr Enderlin. Conclusion Understanding sclerotherapy is the first step to beautiful, vein-free legs. For personalized advice and treatment, consult Dr Enderlin and her team at DECAMED .

It's no wonder that this non-invasive procedure has gained popularity among those seeking a quick and effective way to enhance their complexion. In this article, we'll dive deep into the Hydro Facial treatment, exploring what it does, its effectiveness, potential risks, and how long its benefits last. What Does the Hydro Facial Do? Hydro Facial is a multi-step facial treatment designed to cleanse, exfoliate, extract impurities, and hydrate the skin simultaneously. It employs a technology that uses a unique spiral tip to create a vortex effect, all while delivering a customized blend of serums that target specific skin concerns. These serums can address issues such as fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, congested pores, and more. The treatment involves several steps, including cleansing and exfoliation, a gentle acid peel, painless extractions, and the infusion of nourishing serums. This comprehensive approach leaves your skin feeling clean, refreshed, and radiant. Do Hydro Facials Really Work? The effectiveness of Hydro Facial has been widely praised by skincare professionals and clients alike. Many individuals report immediate improvements in the texture and tone of their skin after just one session. The deep cleansing and exfoliation unclog pores, while the serums nourish and hydrate the skin. This can result in a smoother, more youthful appearance. For best results, a series of treatments is often recommended, spaced a few weeks apart. Regular sessions can help maintain the benefits and address ongoing skin concerns. Hydro Facial can be customized to suit various skin types and concerns, making it a versatile option for many individuals seeking skin rejuvenation. What Are the Risks of Hydro Facial? One of the appealing aspects of Hydro Facial is its minimal risk profile. Compared to more invasive procedures, the risks associated with Hydro Facial are quite low. Some individuals may experience mild redness or temporary sensitivity immediately following the treatment, but these side effects typically subside quickly. However, it's crucial to ensure that you receive the treatment from an experienced practitioner. Proper hygiene and equipment maintenance are essential to prevent any complications. Always discuss your medical history and any existing skin conditions with your dermatologist or cosmetician to ensure that Hydro Facial is a suitable option for you. How Long Do Hydro Facial Results Last? The longevity of Hydro Facial results can vary from person to person. Typically, the immediate benefits, such as improved skin texture and a healthy glow, can be seen right after the treatment and can last for several days. However, for more long-term results, a series of treatments is recommended. Maintenance sessions every 4 to 6 weeks can help sustain the improvements and keep your skin looking its best. Learn moreEyelid Lift and Scar Care: A Fresh Look at a New Life
“Behind Blue Eyes” by The Who, “She's Got Bette Davis Eyes” by Kim Carnes, “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor, or “Ocean Eyes” by Billie Eilish: Eyes are the window to the soul, to the heart, and to the mind. They express emotions like no other organ. But what happens when, over time, eyelids become heavier, and the eyes no longer stand out as they once did? Can something be done about it? In this article, you will learn all about eyelid lift surgery, why it is performed, how you can tell if it's right for you, and when to consider this procedure. Why consider an eyelid lift? Managers and politicians, models and presenters – they all rely on a clear, expressive gaze. But eyelid lift surgery, technically known as blepharoplasty, is not only relevant for celebrities. Women and men from all walks of life choose this procedure to regain their alert gaze, full facial expression, and unique appearance. What is eyelid lift surgery? In an eyelid lift surgery, excess skin from the upper or lower eyelids is removed, depending on the case. The skin is then carefully stitched back together with very fine threads. These threads are removed after just one week. Although it is a routine procedure, it's essential to remember that every incision leaves a scar. Post-eyelid lift care Healing after eyelid lift surgery is a crucial step to achieve optimal results. This is where DECALYS Medical's LE GEL silicone scar gel comes into play. This transparent, non-adhesive silicone gel, rich in Vitamin C, forms a protective film over the closed scar. This ensures the optimal moisture balance for skin regeneration. Applying LE GEL is easy. It is spread in a thin layer over the scar, dries, and remains pleasantly flexible. Used twice a day for a minimum of 2 to 3 months (or as recommended by your doctor), LE GEL progressively improves the color, structure, and appearance of the scar. Where can you get DECALYS Medical LE GEL ? DECALYS Medical LE GEL is available not only from renowned plastic surgeons and in many pharmacies but also in our online store. Taking care of your scar after eyelid lift surgery has never been so straightforward. The risks of eyelid lift surgery Finally, it's crucial not to overlook the risks of eyelid lift surgery. As with any surgical procedure, there are certain risks, including infections, swelling, and bruising. It is essential to follow all your doctor's pre and post-operative instructions to minimize these risks. Overall, eyelid lift surgery can significantly enhance your quality of life. Your gaze will radiate once again, and you will feel more comfortable in your skin. If you choose this procedure, remember to take scar care seriously and rely on products like LE GEL from DECALYS Medical to achieve the best possible results.
Learn moreHow do I treat my acne properly?
The key to good acne care is daily cleansing of the skin followed by the application of a light cream or lotion. Cleaning agents that are too aggressive are counterproductive. Use only a mild cleaning gel for cleaning. Rinse it thoroughly with warm water. This prevents unnecessary irritation of the skin. It makes sense to use products with a low pH. Keratolytic products have a horn-dissolving effect. This means that they promote the shedding of dead skin cells. Skin prone to impurities usually produces too much sebum. Therefore, the skin care cream should not have an additional greasy effect. Even if it is sometimes difficult, pimples should be left alone or carefully cleaned by an aesthetician. Scratching or squeezing often leads to inflammation and scarring. A common misconception is that lack of care can cause pimples to appear. This is not the case.
Learn moreChemical peels
The top layer of skin renews itself about every 28 days. Peeling can support this process. There are different peeling methods, basically a distinction is made between mechanical and chemical peels. These can be applied at home or by a specialist, a beautician or a dermatologist. A peeling loosens superficial horny layers and stimulates cell renewal. The skin becomes more receptive to subsequent skin care products. How often healthy skin should be treated with peelings depends on the type of peeling used and the skin type. To find the best peel for you, it's best to consult your dermatologist. At DECAMED , we are happy to take time for you. After exfoliation, LE BAUME by DECALYS Medical is the ideal repairing care to soothe, regenerate and restore the epidermis!
Learn moreWhat to do for irritated, reddened skin?
Irritated or red skin can have many different causes: External factors such as skin abrasions or too much sun. Dermatological treatments (eg laser treatments or chemical peels) also affect the protective barrier of the skin. Symptoms such as redness, scaling and itching may occur. In these cases, the choice of the right care product is particularly important. Product: LE BAUME , a skin-renewing balm with a selected combination of active ingredients: aloe vera, which pleasantly cools and soothes the skin; zinc, which has an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and wound-healing effect; Alpha-3 Complex® to promote skin regeneration. LE BAUME was the first product in the Decalys Medical line and is therefore the number 1 product – this in every respect: thanks to its combination of active ingredients, Le Baume is a valuable helper for many skin problems.
Learn moreWhat can I do to prevent the wound from becoming a scar…
The first priority is to provide optimal wound care. If the wound is bleeding, light compression with a clean swab will help. If the bleeding does not stop after some time, it is advisable to consult a doctor. You should also do this for particularly dirty wounds, bite wounds, pain or inflammation. Only lightly soiled cuts or abrasions should be cleaned carefully. It is best to rinse the wound under running water. Soap is not necessary. The wound should then be disinfected. Dab the wound dry and apply a suitable wound dressing or plaster. Change the dressing regularly. A dressing provides a moist wound environment. This way, wounds usually heal faster than if they are simply left to dry in the air. Scabs form during the healing process. This should not be removed under any circumstances. Normally, superficial wounds that only affect the upper layers of the skin heal without consequences. Le Baume can accelerate the healing of superficial abrasions. Once the scab has fallen off and the skin is intact again, silicone gels or plasters help to prevent scarring ( Le Gel , Cicafilm ).
